Our Solar Together initiatives help households across the UK access a high quality installation for a competitive price by coming together as a group. Through group-buying we enable people to invest in a sustainable future and benefit from savings on their electricity bill at the same time.

Buying solar panels doesn’t have to be difficult. iChoosr provides customers with clear and objective information supported by its dedicated help desks for when customers have any additional questions. It provides a safe environment in which people can make an informed decision where they might otherwise not do so.

What will be your Role?

iChoosr is looking for an Operations Specialist to manage  the delivery of Solar Together group-buying schemes in the United Kingdom. In this role you will lead the operations team, making sure the group-buying schemes run like clockwork.

You will work closely with and coach the Solar UK operations team members and report to the Business Manager.  You will ensure that the Solar UK operations team has a deep understanding of the needs and priorities of all other teams supporting the UK solar business including Development & Product Team, Campaign Management, Supplier Management, Relationship Management and Customer Services. You will liaise with external partners and other iChoosr colleagues to deliver and optimise the scheme’s operational processes and overall result.  You will play a critical role in growing iChoosr’s position in the UK solar market.

Main tasks and responsibilities:

Your main focus in the role is ensuring the preparation and execution of each of the Solar Together schemes. This includes the organisation and delivery of essential operational tasks, engaging key stakeholders, identifying challenges and making sure key milestones are met.

The outcome will be the delivery of best-in-class customer experience across our online journeys, via our call centre and in all customers communications.

You will look to continuously improve our processes and customer experience and will work closely with many teams around the business to deliver this, on both UK-specific and cross-iChoosr projects.

Main activities include:

  • Responsible for the preparation and the operational delivery of the Solar Together schemes
  • Responsible for the delivery of scheme-related communications – emails, SMS’s and info-sessions
  • Ensuring information and content on website is up-to-date
  • Organise processes and liaison with suppliers and councils we work with to set up schemes on our platform
  • Responsible for coordinating and delivering all back office processes relating to the customer journey and reporting of customer statuses
  • Responsible for coordinating operations tasks within the Operations Teams and with wider team(s)
  • Engaging with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate to deliver cross business projects and tasks required
  • Working closely with Customer Service to plan resource for upcoming schemes and information sessions
  • Suggesting and preparing improvements to the customer journey based on frequent analysis of relevant customer behaviour and data insights
  • Support an environment of knowledge-sharing and inspiring within the UK and wider teams

Who are you?

We are looking for a self-starting professional with an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will be a logical thinker with a focus on continual improvement. 

  • You have at least 5 years experience working in an operational role;
  • You are interested in customer and user experience and have a passion for great customer experience; 
  • You have an eye for detail;
  • You are a real problem solver who is keen to make suggestions on how we can improve / automate our Operational processes;
  • You are able to present information and explain processes in front of an audience;
  • You have the confidence to speak up and make suggestions or process enhancing changes;
  • You have an interest in understanding the domestic solar and energy markets from a consumer angle;
  • You are able to work under pressure and respond to changing demands and deadlines;
  • Experience with G-Suite and Jira, Confluence, or other project management tools a benefit but not essential
  • You like cracking complexity 
  • You are willing to travel to our offices in Antwerp (Belgium) and Amsterdam (The Netherlands) including overnight stays as needed. Planning around travel will require some flexibility.
